About Ecomflow
Ecomflow is a fast-growing third-party logistics (3PL) company based in China, specializing in fulfillment solutions for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands worldwide.
We currently support 150+ brands with efficient, scalable logistics and are now looking to bring on larger, enterprise-level clients.
About the job
We're looking for a technically hands-on and strategically minded CTO to own everything technology at Ecomflow. This person will lead the platform that powers our entire operation - from order intake to fulfillment to payments - while building the systems, team, and data layer that enable the company to scale.
This role sits on the C-level and goes beyond engineering. You'll bridge technology with finance, operations, logistics, and growth - designing the systems that run the business, not just the product. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning a full tech platform, leading a cross-functional engineering team, and making technology decisions that directly impact operational efficiency, client retention, and revenue. They thrive in fast-moving environments, are energized by messy real-world integrations, and know how to turn business problems into shipped solutions.
What will you do
Own and evolve the full tech platform: client dashboard, internal admin tooling, multiple tools, and a distributed backend (order sync, tracking pipelines, webhook processing, invoicing)
Lead the design and build of a proprietary WMS from the ground up - covering shipping channel routing, inventory management, carrier integration, pick/pack workflows, and multi-warehouse support, with integrating hardware solutions.
Lead integrations across Western and Chinese enterprise systems - Shopify, Mabang ERP, AfterShip, Zendesk, Xero, and others
Build and run a 7-person engineering team across three pillars: Core Product, Infrastructure, and Innovation
Run development cycles with planning, tracking, and close one-on-one feedback per engineer - weekly 1:1s, kickoffs, wrap-ups, cross-functional syncs
Automate operations - orders processing, shipping line detection, billing, credit control, AR tracking, anomalies detection, and client-facing pricing tooling
Own the data layer: KPI dashboards, fulfillment rate monitoring, client health scoring, and growth tracking that leadership uses to make decisions
Drive AI and automation initiatives including an AI-powered customer support agent, retrieval systems, and internal process automation
Act as the bridge between Operations, Finance, CS, and Technology - translating business needs into technical execution
Partner with Marketing on product comms, feature launches, and platform positioning
Contribute to company strategy through growth planning, scenario modeling, and partner evaluation
Willing to be the first responder when things break or need to move fast - whether that's calculating a pricing solution, resolving a production issue, or integrating a new carrier, you treat urgency as the default
Requirements
Proven experience building and scaling tech products, ideally in logistics, e-commerce, or operations-heavy domains
Strong hands-on technical background (TypeScript, modern web stacks, distributed systems)
Experience leading high-output engineering teams with clear ownership structures
Comfortable owning more than just tech
Experience with cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, and finance
Not afraid of messy integrations, legacy systems, or being the one who needs to figure it out
Highly analytical with a systems-thinking mindset
Fluent English (written and spoken)
European language skills are a plus
What we offer
Competitive salary
Great team culture
Constant learning opportunities
