About the job
As the Inventory Control Manager, you will lead the development and execution of inventory control frameworks that ensure alignment between physical stock, system records, and client requirements. You will work cross-functionally with warehouse, systems, and client-facing teams to maintain high inventory accuracy, improve processes, and support scalable growth in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
What will you do
Own and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, and audit standards across all warehouses
Design and manage cycle count strategies (ABC classification, frequency, tolerances)
Ensure high accuracy between WMS and physical inventory; investigate and resolve variances
Oversee daily inventory operations including inbound, storage, and outbound integrity
Partner with warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies and prevent recurrence
Monitor capacity utilization and recommend space optimization strategies
Own inventory KPIs (accuracy, variance, aging, turnover, shrinkage) and reporting
Translate data into actionable insights to improve stock health and performance
Identify slow-moving or at-risk inventory and drive optimization or disposition strategies
Ensure WMS and systems accurately reflect inventory movements and configurations
Collaborate with tech/product teams to resolve system gaps and improve visibility
Act as the subject matter expert for inventory across internal teams and clients
Support onboarding of new clients and SKUs with accurate setup and readiness
Communicate risks related to stock levels, discrepancies, and operational constraints
Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for inventory issues
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and client agreements
Lead and develop inventory teams while driving a culture of accountability and accuracy
Continuously improve SOPs, processes, and automation initiatives
Requirements
5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics
2–3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory systems, and warehouse processes
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (experience with dashboards/tools is a plus)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Experience working in fast-paced e-commerce or fulfillment environments
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
