We currently support 150+ brands with efficient, scalable logistics and are now looking to bring on larger, enterprise-level clients.
About the job
We are looking for an experienced trade & compliance manager who can own shipping compliance, product classification, and interfaces with key regulatory stakeholders to help the Ecomflow operations and warehouse team effectively manage changes to global trade regulations.
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced in regulatory, compliance, and import infrastructure management. The ideal candidate is also a results-driven, effective executor that implemented needed changes quickly with detail-oriented precision.
What will you do
Regulatory foresight - monitor US / EU / UK / AU changes and assess impact on fulfillment operations
US Import Infrastructure - own Ecomflow-as-IOR setup by filing and managing all necessary documentation, manage all relevant broker/surety relationships, oversee CBP/CAPE rollouts, etc.
EU Import Infrastructure - oversee and manage current and future changes to de minimis input, IOSS/VAT/EORI setups, etc.
HS code / HTS classification at scale - help curate & own HS Code/HTS classification datasets, set SOPs, and work with the Tech team to implement neededchanges and systems.
Product compliance - Manage the proper classification and documentation of FDA codes, MSDS, NON-DG letters, lithium battery / DG, restricted goods.
Brand onboarding compliance - Act as the point-of-contact for client inquiries regarding needed documentation for fulfillment, regulatory demands, etc.
Stakeholder Management - Act as the key point of contact between all key trade & compliance contacts including brokers, sureties, forwarders, regulators, external legal, and internal warehouse managers
Requirements
You have extensive experience and expertise (min. 4 years) in managing and meeting global trade and compliance regulations working
Background working in either a 3PL, freight forwarder, or customs advisory background is a must
Hands-on experience managing HS/HTS classification systems is also a must
You must speak and write in excellent Chinese (Mandarin) and English
You must be based in HK or China
You can handle multiple time-sensitive priorities without losing control
You’re good at explaining things clearly (even when they’re messy or complex)
You’re organised and don’t drop the ball
You’re comfortable working with different teams and chasing things when needed
You’re proactive: if something is stuck, you formulate a plan to fix it and ensures it’s
